Sheri L. Myers
F O U N D E R & W R I T E R
Sheri
was a blissful screen writing soccer mom until George Bush
decided to rain bombs on innocent people in Iraq.
Her protests, which started
with candles and signs at the neighborhood park, escalated to joining
Code Pink actions in DC and then in NYC during the Republican National
Convention. There she witnessed the mass arrest and illegal detainment
of hundreds of law-abiding protestors, swept into nets by the police. This motivated Sheri to
put all normal life on hold to help get John Kerry elected.
Deep in the
heart of Bubbaville – central Florida – she worked as a volunteer
coordinator, where she saw first-hand the depth of our country’s
desire to rid itself of Bush. She KNEW that Kerry had won on November
2, 2004, and in the following weeks went back to her home state of Ohio
to find out exactly how the theft of the election was conducted. All the
citizen heroes with whom she traveled hand-in-hand on the Winter Freedom
Ride from Columbus to DC in January 05, who fight to this day to restore
democracy in our country...this is their story. |

Watching George Bush steal the 2000 and 2004 presidential elections, Daniel has vowed to take action and encourage young minority voters in the inner cities to fight the injustices and take back their country.

Despite his manifest shortcomings, his girlfriend loves him, his cats tolerate him, and his writing partner endures him.
Thanks to Jim Ward for lending his amazing voice to the Turdblossom video series!

Sophie Goldstein
I L L U S T R A T O R
Sophie is a native of Los Angeles but switched allegiances
to New York in 2003, where they eat Californians for breakfast. She’s
currently a Senior at NYU double majoring in English Literature and Doodling
with a minor in Caffeine Consumption.
She enjoys reading, writing, yoga, and having blank checks made out in
her name. She is of the opinion that illustrating “Cheated”
is a mighty step up from the last job her mom asked her to do -- which
was walking the dog.
Sophie welcomes all comments, questions
and lavish praise. She hopes you have an especially nice day today.

Beth Byrne
G R A P H I C D E S I G N E R &
P H O T O G R A P H E R
Beth is a graphic designer/photographer/activist who works hard and plays hard in San Francisco. She uses her talent to reach out to people, making them socially aware through art that ignites some sort of positive change in the community. Working on causes like this gives Beth the opportunity to mobilize people from the San Francisco Bay area to New York and every nook and cranny in between. If her art can invoke emotions, stir up change, and unite like-minded individuals to take on the status quo and stick it to "the man", Beth couldn't be more psyched.
In her down time, Beth enjoys experimenting in the kitchen, being green, listening to music, riding her bike, being around loved ones, and just plain old relaxation with Oscar P. Mitchell (her cat).
Send Beth lots of love and kudos... beth.byrne@gmail.com.

Joy Cobler
W E B D E S I G N E R &
G R A P H I C A R T I S T
Joy was working hard in her pajamas in her home office when she got the first call from Sheri. The project at hand was the "Cheated!" graphic novel layout and the Wake Up And Save Your Country website launch. That was the beginning of a lot of late nights, tight deadlines and fun midwest to west coast phone conversations! Years have passed since then, but prying Joy away from her work with WUASYC is an impossible task.
A Philly girl by birth and in her heart, Joy now resides in Ohio and finally understands what all of the Buckeye fuss is about! When she is not pounding keys, Joy spends time with her wild husband, two unique kids and insecure English Bulldog. An artist her entire life, Joy is delighted to be able to use her talents to help WUASYC remind Americans about the importance of voting and making sure that vote counts!
